PERSONAL COMMERCIAL

My name is Diane Cunningham

For the past several years I have worked at the University of California at San Diego (UCSD) and as a sometimes full time and sometimes part time employee (ranging from 50-100%) of UCSD Extension  where I worked in various capacities and departments supporting Extension instructors and designing, developing and delivering employee development modules,  Most recently, for the online learning department, I have been providing strategic and instructional design support for staff and faculty.  I have taught courses for the UCSD Extension since 1995 (please see http://www.technoweenies.com/consulting/seminars.htm)

Something that I am really proud of is raising the understanding of, and appreciation for, various adult learning styles and showing how this knowledge can be leveraged to present more effective student learning both online and in the classroom.

Concurrent to my positions at UCSD I own and operate a training and consulting firm specializing in fun, fast-paced dynamic, informative learning experiences.

Having recently left full-time UCSD employment I am pleased to have stabilized the online learning department and its offerings and I have trained over 100 instructors in the effective use of online technologies (blended, hybrid and fully online), I am now ready to move on to new education and training challenges!

I find that wherever I have worked, I bring 3 key strengths to the table, infectious passion and enthusiasm coupled with a greatly appreciated ability to effectively communicate technical information to non technical audiences delivering key information whether face to face, one on one, in classroom or conference setting or delivered in an online environment.

At this time my future plans are to find a position with a company I respect where I can leverage my knowledge and skills to positively impact the ongoing training process.
